Working and living in the highly developed world, I realize that comfortable life comes at a high price, both economically and environmentally. To reduce energy consumption without sacrificing comfort level, I think, is one of the most important and worthy tasks that face the world.My research interest, in a broad sense, is to explore design strategies that promote energy conservation and sustainable design practice in buildings. Within that context, I am, in particular, interested in holistically employ computational simulation techniques to evaluate energy performance of buildings so as to facilitate building design decisions based on objective and data driven reasoning to ensure robust building design.
