We are the largest suburban food pantry in Essex County. Unfortunately, the need is growing every day. Other responsibilities include management of the paid and volunteer staff, supervising all aspects of food provision including selection, acquisition, storage and delivery to clients. The director provides supervision of client intake and assessment of their eligibility in accordance with state and federal regulations. I also authorize all expenditures, manage the security and maintenance of the building and facilities and work closely with a 15 member Board of Directors. Other areas of responsibility include gift processing, maintaining donor records, drafting healthy, nutritious menus and representing the organization through talks, use of social media, the website and press releases.
