Carbon Clean Energy (CCE) is a shovel-ready, integrated biofuels project located near Strathmore, AB. Upon execution, CCE will enable the production of Alberta-based ethanol that is in direct compliance with the Alberta Renewables Fuels Standard Act. Using a technology platform that has been proven in Europe, the plant will be a first of its kind in North America and used as a platform to expand, acquire and retrofit other biofuels facilities throughout the continent. Carbon Clean Energy will have a substantial impact on both the local and provincial economy particularly as it pertains to producing ethanol directly within the province, creating up to 800 jobs, consuming over 370,000 tonnes of non-food grade wheat from local farmers and offsetting 1.3 million tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
