About Bruno Scartozzoni
One of the first memories I can remember from my childhood is when my father took me to the movies. I was 7 and that experience marked me forever! I was so excited I couldn´t sleep for the next couple of nights. Later, working in the advertising industry, I realized that the techniques used by writers, screenwriters and directors to capture the audience´s attention and imagination could also be used by brands and people willing to communicate better. This is when my greatest passion has turned into my job.In fact, when I started to study and work with corporate storytelling in Brazil I was in uncharted waters. The clients were curious about it, but didn´t know much at the time. Literature, for example, was only available abroad. and there wasn´t any storytelling courses at our universities. It was funny to talk about it and watch people reacting: “Story WHAT?”. Some friends thought I was going crazy, by the way.This was the scenario back then, which made me somehow a pioneer in the subject. This quest started in 2008 and, since then, I've been helping lots of clients to use the power of storytelling: from global brands to local startups, from governments to presidency candidates. During this journey I have been speaking at major events, such as HSM Expo and Campus Party, and giving classes at cutting edge Brazilian and international educational institutions: USP, FGV, ESPM, FIAP, Harvard Business Review and Coimbra University. I was in the right path, storytelling became a hit.Nowadays I am in charge of StoryTalks, the first narrative and expression consultancy in the country, alongside my partner Paulo Ferreira, one of the most requested speaker trainers of the market.
