Engineering Career Foundation Program: Multi-Skill Engineer

Arlington, Va, Us

The Engineering Career Foundation Program is a two-year leadership and technical development program consisting of four six-month rotations spanning both Boeing's business units as well as different stages of the product lifecycle. Rotation #4: Flight Test Analysis Engineer - Flight Test Engineering Analysis: Systems- Coordinated with design engineers and other Flight Test organizations to write and release nine Flight Test Plans (FTPs) for the 777X program, each detailing test article configuration, instrumentation, test conditions, and risk management plans. Rotation #3: Operations Analyst - Phantom Works: Commercial Derivatives New Business- Developed “task processor” in Air Force Simulation Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) to simulate the decision tree of the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) committing assets to engage incoming threats. This simulation was carried forward to analyze mission performance of different fleet arrangements and ABMS platforms.Rotation #2: Flight Controls Engineer - 777X Primary Control Laws- Verified 777X control law requirements by writing and executing Detailed Test Procedures for the Emergency Descent, Vertical Model Suppression, and Air/Ground control laws both in desktop and hardware-in-the-loop testing.- Created an internal, onboarding Wiki page which consolidated various sources of setup information into one single place and is still maintained to this day. Also helped to onboard 3 new team members, sitting down with them one-on-one and explaining the various tools and processes that the team uses. Rotation #1: Equipment Engineer - 777 Fuselage Automated Upright Build- Led Root Cause Corrective Action team on clamping-related faults in automation. This resulted in a software update which was rolled out to all production KUKA robots and significantly reduced fault occurrence.
