Responsible for directing the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive environmental, health and safety management system for ten (10) manufacturing facilities and providing leadership and technical expertise for company-wide excellence in environmental, health, and safety while ensuring compliance with applicable local, state and federal regulations. Provide input to the business units in identifying and tracking appropriate key performance indicators and assessing site performance. Ensure compliance with all company EHS policies and regulatory requirements. Work closely with the Supply Chain Directors, Plant Managers and associates at all levels to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.Assist facilities with continuous improvement initiatives including addressing ergonomic issues, incident investigations, and provide EHS leadership and guidance to individual plant safety committees. Maintain environmental permits for each facility by ensuring the timely submission of applications for renewal, modifications, and/or change to the each facilities site's environmental permits. Coordinate health and industrial hygiene monitoring activities at each facility on a scheduled basis.Act as a liaison between the facilities workers compensation carrier and Office of Disability Management to aggressively manage outstanding workers compensation cases.Develop effective working relationships with EHS community and regulatory agencies as appropriate to keep abreast with current and pending EHS state and federal regulations.

Responsible for providing effective professional guidance to site management on achieving world-class performance and operational excellence related to environmental, health, safety and security, as well as, coordinating all interaction with outside EHS resources in conjunction with current policies and regulations.Development and management of all regulatory programs within the facility to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory entities. Accountable for developing, implementing, and coordinating Sector and Enterprise policies on matters involving health and safety, waste, air, water, and land conservation.Provide EHS consultation and information to support all company EHS efforts. Work cooperatively with all levels of management staff on all safety related issues as they impact other company functions.Administer and lead site on implementation of all EHS programs. This includes updating existing and developing new programs as needed due to regulatory changes, changes in company policies and other needs as necessary. Monitor EHS metrics, including incident rates, energy consumption, waste generation, etc., and provide management with detailed feedback to provide guidance and direction for future actions to improve performance.Ensure all employees, both hourly and management; receive all training necessary to safely perform their respective duties. This includes training for managers on programs they are required to implement.Manages the maintenance of hazardous inventory and current status with regard to compliance with federal, state and local regulatory law.Ensures that all environmental, health and safety reporting, preparation, application filing and associated fees are completed. These may include but not be limited to: Workers Compensation, Hazardous Waste Generator, Air permit, Wastewater permit, Community Right to Know, Solid Waste Reporting, State and County Recycling, Tier I & II, Form R.

Monitored and evaluated progress and outcomes for specific programs and large capital projects, in order to determine appropriate allocation of multi-departmental and geographic resources.Managed all areas of daily operations including project management, invoicing and personnel management for the Tyler Texas office.Examined risks and operational feasibility by conducting benefit/cost ratio analysis, defining net present value, observing internal rate of return, evaluating potential return on investment, and estimating return on net assets.Monitored reports including cash flow analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, sales quotes, personnel utilization and P&L analysis while working directly in conjunction with the corporate accounting department including the Chief Financial Officer.Applied decisive scrutiny to quantifiable measurements for the values of both costs against established budgets and monetarily assigned resource usage figures. With this data, established whether or not the company has ascertained desirable outcomes for the quarter and determine if return on investment has been achieved.Program Manager for the two (2) TCEQ State Lead Site Activities contracts worth 1.5 to 2 million.Engaged in the design and implementation team for a new project based accounting information system for the company. Fundamentally occupied with all three sectors of implementation: design, training, and delivery, as part of an overall ISO 9000 quality management system which was intended to be a budget, resource, and quality improvement initiative for the company’s multi-purpose divisions.Approximately 40% of the time spent in the field at Leaking Petroleum Storage Tank (LPST) sites in Texas supervising large groundwater, soil, and air remediation projects for the TCEQ State Lead Site Activities contract while working closely with TCEQ Project Mangers to formulate cost effective solutions to advance sites toward closure.
