In my current position I am rebuilding the controls program and department at Alkar. I also have the responsibility for the electrical design for all of the Alkar products. At Alkar we design and deploy industrial batch and continuous cooking and chilling equipment for food processors all over the world. ALKAR provides equipment and services which improve your product’s consistency, and your operation’s efficiency.I have worked as a Staff Facilities Engineer for Illumina where we develop, manufacture and market life science tools and integrated systems for large-scale analysis of genetic variation and function. Previous to that, I was with NorthStar as the manager of a product development automation and controls team where we developed and produced environmentally-friendly diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals to address critical patient healthcare needs. responsible for setting the long term direction for Sani-Matic's automation products and strategy to insure that the current and future systems will be capable of supporting and operating in a modern Manufacturing 4.0 environment. I developed, and implemented production enterprise IT/OT systems for thin film coating systems. Managed all aspects of engineering projects. I have experience as a Product Development and Quality Engineering manager with First International Digital where I worked in the far east to facilitate development of new products for the US market. I worked for InstallShield as the Director of Quality Assurance, where I was responsible for revitalizing the corporate quality program and qualification department. At 3Com and U.S. Robotics, I was involved in product design, product testing, manufacturing test and engineering, plant layout, and design validation. I am an experienced electrical engineer with both IT and OT experience and am very comfortable working to integrate operations in both areas of focus.My military experience has allowed me to developed a strong sense of leadership and teamwork. I am a hands on leader and manager, and understand the role that a highly effective team plays in moving an organization forward. I have commanded and managed a number of different size teams up to 147 individuals with multiple engineering disciplines.
