Served as a graduate assistant on a research/evaluation team to collect and analyze qualitative interview data on how professional knowledge is developed in teacher residencies, particularly in urban educational settings. Co-facilitated team meetings, researched and wrote literature reviews, assisted in study design and development, collected and analyzed data, and co-authored manuscripts for publication and presentations at national professional conferences.

As the teaching assistant for the required freshmen seminar class, I support the professor in the implementation of a learner-centered spiral curriculum. I co-plan, co-teach, advise students, assess student work and collaborate with faculty in order to develop students' skills, knowledge and attitudes for collegiate and life-long success. I will teach my own section in the 2017-2018 school year.In addition to teaching, I serve as shift manager overseeing undergraduate and graduate students in the university writing center as we work one-on-one with students to improve their academic writing.

Hired at the award-winning camp’s inception, I took the idea of teaching middle school students entrepreneurial skills and made it a reality. Over the life of the camp, I managed eight camp counselors and oversaw 60 students who developed their own “businesses,” including elevator pitches, branding, websites, marketing materials, “convention” presentations and products to present. Each spring leading up to the summer camp, I recruited local, regional, national and international businesses to participate, including Perio (Barbasol), TechColumbus, IGS Energy, Tim Horton’s, Elmer’s, and the Columbus Zoo.
