 Providing agency services for domestic and foreign-flagged vessels calling U.S. seaports to engage in international trade and/or conducting passenger-related operations. Organizing, overseeing and facilitating vessel arrival and departure as well as attending to all crew, cargo and other related matters on behalf of the ship owners and/or vessel charterers. Preparing documentation for importing/exporting commodities including manifesting, filing paperwork with customs, entering cargo into ACE, and coordinating ISF filings with customs brokers. Ensuring federal, state and local regulatory compliance with governmental authorities such as the U.S. Coast Guard, Customs & Border Patrol and the states of Alaska, Oregon & Washington. Accounting for port call expenses on behalf of the client, allocating funds to all service providers, approving all expenditures and overseeing the accounting process.

 Managed ~200 employees and oversaw daily operations of motorcoach tours, transfer buses, luggage handling, guest hotel and airport services, cruise ship turns and office administration.  Oversaw the hiring and training of seasonal employees; planned, assigned, and directed work; motivated, rewarded, disciplined, addressed complaints and resolved issues. Developed commercial driver training programs meeting requirements of the Dept. of Transportation. Introduced programs for employee safety in compliance with State & Federal OSHA agencies. Managed relationships with vendors, service providers, and pertinent Federal, State and City agencies. Created financial operating plans and tracked, reported and forecasted monthly financials; managed annual payroll and department expenses of ~$2.0M.

 Planned and oversaw successful execution of onboard rail services including: passenger safety, customer service, food & beverage preparation and service, tour guide narration and retail sales. Hired and trained a team of 45 employees; planned, assigned, and directed work; motivated, rewarded, disciplined, addressed complaints and resolved issues. Ensured high levels of guest service by designing an informative tour program and a quality dining experience as well as maintaining equipment for optimal comfort and enjoyment. Maximized revenue opportunities by offering desirable retail merchandise, development of enticing food & beverage menus and the creation and implementation of sales tools and incentive programs. Managed financial operating plans and payroll expenses of ~1.8M, maintained cost of sales expenses; oversaw cash and sales reporting functions and inventory management.
