1. Configures, maintains and supports campus servers. • Configure and maintain Windows servers to meet specific enterprise/departmental requirements. Secondary support for the campus exchange email systems, managing exchange servers, services and user environment.• Responsible for patch management on Windows servers and mitigating vulnerabilities. Installs and updates required server applications on request. Responsible for support for campus IIS web servers and associated services. • Primary support for campus virus and malware problems. Responsible for the continuous monitoring of QRadar SIEM, Palo Alto Networks 3050 IDS, Trend Micro OfficeScan, and Symantec Protection Engine. Responsible for identifying infected systems, evaluating the severity and performing forensic analysis or eradicating the malware to ensure that no breach of information security has occurred. Makes specific recommendations to vendors or campus regarding virus and malware activities.• Works closely with other IITS staff and program faculty for planning and improvement purposes.• Supports Help Desk personnel with resolution of problems as they relate to these duties. 2. Supports the campus desktop PC environment.• Supports campus anti-malware solution and responds to malware incidents on faculty and staff computers.• Works closely with faculty to tailor operating-system and application configuration to meet program requirements.• Develops and maintains back-end servers required to support the academic environment as requested. • Supports Help Desk personnel with resolution of problems as they relate to these duties.

- Provide consultative support and services to the user community to ensure problem resolution, system/data access and optimal system performance.- Provide Telephone support; assist users to develop or use application and software packages and their features; install, configure, and modify applications, networks, databases, and other systems.-Determine system compatibility and performance, and impact of integration with new systems or upgrades- Responsible for staffing the Help Desk plus going out on service calls. Enter all transactions into a database. Track calls; maintain appropriate logs both within the systems and external, as required. - Technical trainer for Help Desk Personnel and student assistants. Provide lead direction and train student assistants.
