Bryan Bishop is the author of the New York Times Bestselling memoir "Shrinkage: Manhood, Marriage and the Tumor That Tried to Kill Me." Prior to hosting “The Bryan and Gina Show,” the official podcast of Los Angeles Magazine, he enjoyed a 16-year career as the on-air sidekick for “The Adam Carolla Show” - a syndicated morning radio show that evolved into “The World’s Most Downloaded Podcast,” as certified by the Guinness Book of World Records. As a public speaker, he has spoken at companies such as SpaceX, Genentech and Hall & Partners. Diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor at age 30, Bishop is an advocate for cancer causes and research. He has worked with charitable organizations such as The V Foundation, The National Brain Tumor Society, Entertainment 2 Affect Change, Stupid Cancer and The American Brain Tumor Association, where he delivered the keynote address at their National Conference in 2023. He has done book readings and signing events across the country, from Manhattan to Hollywood. He also appeared as a contestant on Comedy Central’s "Beat the Geeks" and on the syndicated game show "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?", winning both. Bishop was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Christie, and their daughter, Tessa.
