When you grow up in a remote area of the dusty Texas Panhandle working oilfield, farming, and cattle ranch jobs, you learn quickly how to fix things. When a round-trip to the hardware store takes two hours, you get really good at diagnosis, improvisation, and invention. Thankfully, I’ve always loved it. Understanding how things work—whether it’s machines, theories, organization, or other systems—and how to solve, improve, or fix them is something I’ve always been gifted at, and enjoyed. However, as experiences shaped me into the person I am today, I’ve come to realize that it is envisioning how things could work—things that haven’t yet been conceived, and how they could solve a problem in a new way—that is truly exciting to me. Whether it’s identifying unique approaches to creating profitable business opportunities in underperforming markets, inventing handheld robots that will aim the next-generation of military rifles, or deconstructing old processes to radically rethink how the convergence of technology and human potential can drive unprecedented innovation, I have grown to love attempting the “impossible”. Co-founding my own research company created immense freedom to test new ideas and impact the world with my work. The success of RMSL and the culture of innovation there led to the founding of AimLock with a direct focus on revolutionizing the next generation of small armaments systems. It’s been quite a journey since my early days of building endless cattle fence and fixing equipment, but the solution-driven spirit and the hard work ethic they instilled in me have been driving my story ever since. Now, I’m blessed to go to work every day knowing it’s my job to combine purpose-driven imagination with rigorous science to create solutions that will help win wars, keep the peace, and save lives.

Ceo, President, ChairmanAimlock Jul 2014 - PresentLittleton, Colorado, UsAimLock is a disruptive company, designed specifically for product development and commercialization of “fire control systems” that stabilize and aim gun systems. The firing solution – the equations that are used to aim weapons for a successful target engagement – is automatically and continuously applied to point carbines, rifles, and machine guns with miniature robotic actuators. This dramatically improves probability-of-hit and engagement times which, in turn, creates substantial gains for our forces on the battlefield. I manage strategic planning, product development, research & development contracts, teaming arrangements, manufacturing subcontracts, and investor relations. -
Ceo, Co-FounderRocky Mountain Scientific Laboratory Oct 2009 - May 2017Littleton, Colorado, UsAs a co-founder of Rocky Mountain Scientific Laboratory, I served as CEO and one of the principal engineers from 2009 to 2017. While AimLock is my primary focus, I still work to support the strategic efforts of the business. My personal research specialties began in combustion and detonation physics and morphed into semi-autonomous robotic systems as we developed innovative solutions for handling hazardous materials. Along the way, I gained specific experience in ballistics (external, internal, and terminal), small arms and munitions technologies, computer-based physical simulations (CAD, CFD, FEA), mechanical design and failure analysis, and high-speed imaging. This all supports the core mission focus: Save Lives. Keep the Peace. Prepare for War. -
