Mechanical Engineer at Advatech Pacific, working on the inspection and analysis of components to be used in commercial and defense aerospace applications.Responsibilities:- Developed application to compute interpolated temperatures from a thermal ANSYS model to a structural ANSYS model with layers of different thickness.- Coordinated the reverse engineering of a cryogenic storage dewar tank vacuum plug, which included inspection and evaluation of legacy design, the creation and review of new drawings, and the verification of new design performance. - Developed vibration and thermal shock testing for a cryogenic storage dewar tank vacuum plug, including the design of testing hardware, determining test requirements per MIL-STD-810, and composition and review of all test documents.- Automated the inspection of turbine engine blade and vane coating thickness assessment using Python to execute a Geomagic-based inspection of blue light data, with detailed reporting of inspection points on areas of interest.- Automated the inspection of an 82-blade turbine disk throat area using Python to compute dimensions from blue light data.- Performed detailed dimensional analysis of a 3rd stage case assembly, using blue light data of each component.- Performed an ANSYS 14.5 to 17.1 benchmark comparison with detailed data and plots of resource usage and estimated per-job time savings estimate.
