This also included the testing and application of new technology (experimental ESRL sea ice forecasts, automated sea ice detection in synthetic aperture radar imagery). ● As the Lead for forecaster involvement, I was responsible for documenting, understanding, and communicating (raising) operational concerns to the ML detection and model developers. Through strategic stakeholder engagement, effectively garnered support and collaboration across departments to ensure the successful implementation of these critical initiatives, solidifying the center's role as a pioneer in the field.● Served as Program Manager for the US Interagency Arctic Buoy Program and US Interagency Program for Antarctic Buoys. Collaborated with researchers and international partners to ensure adequate coverage of in-situ sea ice observations.
