I am an Area Controller for our EPC projects that specialize in open-shop work in the Power industry. In this role I am responsible for multiple jobs from estimate to project execution to project closeout. This role focuses on the overall financial health and operational efficiency of the job, which includes budget conformance, cost control measures, forecast analysis, cash flow modeling, and financial planning and analysis. I also supervise the business/finance teams on each job and am responsible for their training and development. Other responsibilities include company-wide initiatives including standardizing processes and procedures. In addition to my functions as a business professional, I also lead up all the intern and new-hire recruiting efforts for our Power Division in Lenexa, KS.

I am a Sr. Project Controller at Kiewit, specifically working under our TIC Power district which specializes in open shop power generation EPC projects. In addition to these expanded responsibilities, I still have business management oversight of Hickory Run Energy Station during its peak construction and start-up and commissioning phases. In this role I am responsible for multiple Power Generation jobs, with different contract models. In this role I am responsible for not only the jobs operational and financial results but also the development of the entire business team below me.In this role I am also responsible for various initiatives across all 3 districts in Lenexa, KS (Kiewit Power Constructors, Kiewit Power Delivery, and TIC Power). Some of these initiatives include campus recruiting, creation of standards library, and development of repeatable training and development environment.

I was the Project Controller for Hickory Run Energy Station, a 2X1 combined cycle power plant that produces 1,000 MW of electricity located New Castle, PA. The prime contract is >$530M, with over 100 staff, 500 craft, and 100 subcontractors at peak.The Project Controller position combines both traditional cost controller responsibilities along with a broader spectrum of general business management responsibilities including overseeing our compliance environment, payroll administration, HR, subcontractor management, prime contract administration, and other general business tasks. Specifically, I am responsible for budgeting and forecasting of all job costs, maintaining IFC quantities, providing real-time analysis of productivity in the field, hiring direct labor employees, executing payroll and resolving any related issues, implementation of an Equal Employment Opportunity environment and all related compliance factors, subcontractor management, prime contract administration, risks analysis based on trending performance indicators and historical information, as well as other cost control and internal control measures.

As a Business Manager position within the financial reporting department at Kiewit Power Constructors in Lenexa, KS I provide a range of business analytics to make better decisions throughout all stages of our projects.In this position my main focus is ensuring the financial success of our jobs once they reach the warranty stage which includes subcontract management, forecasting and warranty claim tracking.
