The curriculum at LeTourneau University has honed my critical thinking and problem solving skills by requiring me to think through problems and evaluate them in real world scenarios. It has also given me the practical skills necessary to set up experiments, collect, analyze, and interpret data, and then formulate a plan on how to improve a concept, idea, or piece of equipment. LeTourneau has also taught me how to take a conceptual solution, design it in CAD software and bring it into the real world using various manufacturing processes (3D printing, welding, and lathing) to then test and implement the solution into a proven design. Through my two years as a Security Guard and my three years of education at LeTourneau, I have improved critical team skills through engineering projects in the class room and communication skills in the Police Department. I learned how to push past personal opinions of coworkers and team members, how to communicate the desired goal, and how to compromise work loads.I also have a year of supervisory experience working as a Lead Guard at LeTourneau University's Police Department where I managed the Student Worker Security Guards by arraigning meetings, providing updates of the Department's policies and procedures, as well as managing hiring new employees, maintaining shift blocks, and the welfare of the Security Guards.
