I have over 21 years of government benefits experience at Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina. I have 19 years experience in managing claims and customer service teams. My experience working directly with the prime contractor, DoD agencies and my team provided many opportunities to sharpen my communication skills. Whether I am writing or speaking, I seek to be direct, accurate and succinct. I have successfully corresponded with our prime contractor, DoD entities, i.e. TRICARE Regional Officers (TRO)and TRICARE beneficiaries resolving critical issues or explaining the outcomes for claims. I have developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills working on projects, and contract transition teams, and I enjoy the research and work that required. I gained an in-depth knowledge of the TRICARE program policies, and my ability to be independent while researching the fine details of government requirements proved highly useful to the teams I joined. New changes and new program direction provided ample opportunity to do in gap analysis and provide input to upper management. I am an internal ISO auditor, since 2008. I have experience completing management control reviews and preparing my team for external audits ISO in customer service. I was a member of the TRICARE Continuous Improvement (TCI) committee and reviewed many suggestions with the group for usefulness and practicality and provide feedback to submitters and directors.
