My role in Operations and Supply Chain covered three large Geographical regions; Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa (MEA). These are three culturally diverse regions, with over 80 countries. Turnover is around $1.1 billion, with around 2500 people. Key Accomplishments, include:• Cost reduction; in excess of $20 million saving each year in the last 5 years, resulting in improved profitability for the business.• Project Director for Manufacturing and Supply Chain expansion in Russia. Building a multi-million dollar World Class Production facility in the Moscow region and establishing a 1st class Supply Chain network for Eastern Europe.• Created a culture of Continuous Improvement within the Kimberly-Clark consumer business in MEA, with the introduction of the End to End Planning.• Building a high performance team culture in MEA Product Supply team

• This key role played a major part in the development of K-C as a ‘World Class’ company, with high emphasis on bringing major product improvements to market in a timely manner and developing processes that make K-C Manufacturing a unified force that continually outperforms the competition, by applying proven practices and bold innovations.• Priorities include; the leadership of a NATO Product Supply team on the Baby Wipes business, responsible for 2 facilities, one in the UK and one in N.A. Major accountabilities include the development of a manufacturing strategy asset and footprint for the Baby Wipes sector, with a strong focus on total delivered costs and continuous improvement activities such as Process Excellence initiatives and a major focus on cost optimisation.• Spent 2 years working in North America as the leader of the capital projects team, where I was responsible for a capital budget in excess of $100 million per annum. Implementation of new products throughout diaper plants in North America. Leading a multi-functional team, including, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, R&D, Supply Chain and HR. • I also have significant experience working in the Czech Rep., where I was responsible for the project to expand a facility that K-C acquired in 1998.

• Responsible for all operation management activities; controlling a site budget of $150 million, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement, within a rapidly changing business environment.• Directly responsible for approximately 450 associates, including 26 engineers/team leaders, 410 manufacturing/maintenance associates and 15 support associates.• Key priorities include maximising machine/crew performance, improving product quality through process improvement and the introduction of new technology.• Played a major Operations start-up role of the $250 million Barton plant, on a Greenfield site in Humberside in 1992/93. Recruiting approximately 400 + associates.• Responsible for the development of all training material and systems during start-up. Worked with similar plants in the U.S. to capitalise on their learning experience.
