Technical Writer/Editor Principal
CurrentAs a contractor, provide writing, editing, and graphics support to a Department of Defense agency. Respond rapidly to short-suspense requests, producing products sent to/used by executive leadership/command staff. Help staff to develop, improve, and standardize plans, manuals, requirements documents, briefings, reports, procedures, and white papers. Provide real-time writing/editing to develop briefings and reports.Support development of programmatic documentation, including: status briefings; readiness assessments; task assessments; management directives; planning and budgeting presentations; in-process reviews; risk management plans; internal controls documents; standard operating procedures; life cycle documents; concept of operations; historical summaries; award nominations. Develop operating instructions for management information system used to track/report project status, store/re-use project documentation, and generate briefings and reports from project status data.Provide writing, editing, and graphics support to corporate organizations. Proofread and edit communications from managers to employees. Create and enhance graphics, presentations, and print and online forms.Retained when SAIC purchased my previous employer.
