I manage a number of programs at the Association: Congressional Study Group on Japan (CSGJ)Congress to Campus (CTC)Election Monitoring (IEMI)Democracy Development (HDAC)and Civics ConnectionIn the CSGJ, I run a Japan Caucus for current Members of Congress. We put on events to educate Members on issues pertinent to this critical relationship.In CTC, I send former Members of Congress to college campuses across the US to promote civic engagement and knowledge about the Legislative branch of government.IEMI, HDAC, and Civics Connection are all evolving programs, so any description will be out of date soon. We recently sent an election monitoring mission to Iraq in March and a democracy delegation to the country of Georgia, so they are active programs.

I worked on the campaign of a Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) candidate.Jobs included: handing out flyers, supporting speeches, community relations.I am currently the only contributor to the English version of his blog with English translations of his Japanese entries.
