I work closely with CFOs, Finance Directors, Heads of Tax, Property Directors, and their advisory teams to optimise the benefits of capital allowances and related tax incentives, while ensuring compliance. This involves a comprehensive review of accounting, legal, and procurement systems, as well as hands-on inspection of diverse commercial real estate and infrastructure projects.Following a successful career with global accountancy and surveying firms where I held senior positions establishing and leading specialist tax teams, coordinating across multiple office locations, I now work independently. I’ve successfully negotiated technical disputes directly with HMRC, delivered industry seminars, webinars, and authored technical articles. I’ve also developed risk management protocols and spearheaded the creation of innovative, cloud-based claim systems.My passion for construction and property runs deep, having worked in the industry from a young age. I started on construction sites, prepared tender packages at an architectural practice, and qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor. I earned a MSc in Construction/Risk Management and gained valuable project experience in Qatar on major health and security projects, as well as various commercial projects in the UK as a PQS and Planning Supervisor. This experience uniquely positioned me to transition into tax and accountancy, where I combine my knowledge of property, surveying, construction, and tax to deliver measurable value to a business’s bottom line.
