Advise graduate students in the School of Management & Technology. Support a case load of 400-500 nontraditional BIPOC students across three (3) doctoral degree programs: Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management, and Doctor of Information Technology (DIT).Utilize Ellucian Banner to pull degree audits reports (also Degree Works) and determine eligibility for mentoring assignments. Improve accuracy of registration for readmitted and ABD students by collaborating with Committee Chair Selection team.Confirm and coordinate all residency requirements with Academic Residencies for wait-listed events. For students transitioning through milestones in the program, such as coursework, mentoring, and dissertation, provide a robust onboarding experience and enhance it with custom advising materials/artifacts.In the areas of student advocacy and conflict resolution, facilitate communication between grad students and faculty as situations arise.

Provided quality and engaging academic advising to diverse undergraduate students in the School of Management & Technology at Walden University. Responsible for large cohort of approximately 500 nontraditional BIPOC students, located in the U.S. and abroad, across five (5) Bachelor’s of Science degree programs, including: business administration (BUSI), communications (COMM), accounting (ACCT), information systems (ISYS), and information technology (ITEC).Utilized a suite of educational technology to enhance student communication, provide program support, and improve customer experience. Platforms included: Salesforce Lighting CRM service console, reporting tools, and dashboards; Microsoft Office and Office 365; 8x8 Phone System (VoIP) and Quality Assurance; Ellucian Banner 9 system; and Blackboard LMS.Adapted workflows and priorities to meet most pressing university, departmental, team, and student needs. Facilitated advising appointments and inbound/internal transfer calls. Balanced multiple complex projects on different timelines—i.e., phone outreaches like academic progress/probation, academic integrity, new student onboarding, and semester advising sessions. Provided practical instruction and academic/career counseling to undergraduate students at the School of Music, University of Minnesota--Twin Cities.
