I started working as a SMI (severe mental illness) case manager. My job was to assist client's getting connected to resources in the community and getting linked up with Social Services as needed. I transferred positions and now I am a therapist doing individual and group therapy. I conduct assessments to evaluate the level of care needed.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

I started in the transitional unit/ crisis residential unit. There I assisted client's get connected with resources in the community and also helped the client's establish independent living skills to live on their own. The crisis residential was a short term stay for people needing to get stabilized and immediate services. I transferred positions to work in the intensive crisis unit where my role was to engage with client's who are frequently in the hospital in the psy unit and lower the recidivism of hospitalization. Intensive engagements were to implement coping skills, medication compliant, and to establish care with a doctor and a center that client could get services with. I worked as an adolescent therapist where I would do crisis prevention intervention at the Juvenile Detention Center. There I conducted assessments and would evaluate for suicidal ideation.

Working the check point at the airport to assist and secure the area of the airport to allow passengers fly safely. Conducted searches on passengers and baggage area to monitor for items that wasn't allowed for travel.
