- Oversaw a team to manage, administrate, and implement major acquisition projects for combat systems, armoured vehicles, and support systems for the two largest combat fleets in the Canadian Army, while providing ongoing strategic advice, assessment, and support to specialized operations and partners.- Successfully delivered 4 major acquisition projects: the Light Armoured Vehicle Specialist Vehicle Enhancement Project ($180M), the Light Armoured Vehicle Upgrade Project ($1.1B), the Tactical Armoured Vehicle Patrol Project ($1.2B), and the LAV Reconnaissance Surveillance Suite Project ($623M).- Balanced strategic decision-making, vendor relations/ negotiations, and technical leadership across all project phases, including approval, testing, delivery, and close-out, while fulfilling all reporting obligations.- Coordinated the gathering and mapping of diverse requirements, translating strategic/ operational objectives into specifications, while developing technical documents (RFPs, project documents) and leading meetings/ presentations to facilitate approvals by the Ministry of National Defence. - Directed processes and personnel in the management of knowledge, environmental scanning, and reporting to provide competent and timely advice to military/ government leaders in federal policy development, material acquisition, and support.- Developed the Equipment Project Management Framework, a vision-driven strategy for departmental service delivery, and successfully communicated/ translated the framework into tactical plans for specialized teams.- Improved and monitored processes for managing knowledge (national/ industry) and developing strategic recommendations to manage quality/ overall alignment across the leadership team.- Established and maintained a network of contacts/ relationships within the industry to support acquisition activity from a cost and technical perspective.
