Safety Advocacy Specialist
Current- Advocacy and external relations lead for key agency issues including; marine safety, aviation safety, teen and young driver safety, collision avoidance technology, V2X, and distracted driving.- Assist with state policy issues on youth and teen driver safety issues including Graduated Driver License (GDL) Laws, impairment, distracted driving and young driver assistance technology. - Develop advocacy video and multimedia content (infographics, social media content, print materials, etc) for use on NTSB social media and web- Develop original written content on behalf of the agency including op-eds, blogs, articles, press releases and video/interview scripts- Plan and execute various in-person and virtual events for the NTSB- Deliver presentations and workshops on various transportation safety topics at relevant conferences, meetings and events- Build relationships with key transportation stakeholders and organizations to advance NTSB Safety Recommendations.- Develop innovative live events on priority safety issues including webinars, summits and in-person experiences.- Deliver remarks at national and local conferences on teen driver safety, distracted driving, marijuana-impaired driving, mentorship and safety advocacy.- Develop Youth Interactive Traffic Safety Labs to educate young drivers on risks associated with distracted, impaired and reckless driving and not buckling up. Planned and delivered Wyoming Yourh Interactive Traffic Safety Lab on the Wind River Reservation for over 400 youth.
