Bryan Dick, Professional Engineer and Professional Hydrologist has more than 17 years of combined experience in riverbank and shoreline stabilization, fluid mechanics, environmental engineering, water resources, stormwater management, hydrology, hydrogeology, environmental remediation, wetlands mitigation, stream restoration, and natural resources. He has managed a variety of water resources related projects including watershed studies/assessments, H&H design and analysis, stormwater management and permitting, stream restoration, and BMP/remediation design. Mr. Dick has worked as a riverbank stabilization/ restoration technical lead on some of the larger contaminated river sites in the U.S. and has completed more than 55,000 feet of stream restoration and bank stabilization design/ construction and lead and completed more than five hundred miles of watershed/ stream geomorphic assessments. His broad background has proven to be a strong asset in managing multidisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers. Mr. Dick has drawn from his experience of working on an array of projects throughout the country and utilizes that knowledge to innovate solutions to complex river and watershed issues. He holds multiple degrees including MSCE Fluid Mechanics, BS Civil Engineering, and a BS Forest Resource Management. His PhD work is currently advancing the fields of dendrochronology and engineering by pioneering methods of using the exposed roots of trees as a primary tool for assessment of contaminated sediment entrainment rates on large rivers, as well as its use for estimating erosion rates used in watershed, sediment and climate change modeling. Additional training includes courses in HEC-RAS Unsteady Flow Modeling and Dam Removal and Contaminant Transport. He has completed Rosgen Stream Restoration Training Levels I – IV.
