Promoted to Distribution Center General Manager in San Angelo TX 2022· As a General Manager I am responsible for responsible for overseeing all operational and administrative facets of the Distribution Center (DC).· accountable for delivering performance in: safety, quality, on time and accurate delivery, cost, while coaching and managing the talent of their team.· Establish and assure safe and compliant work environment with a target of minimizing OSHA recordable and Auto Chargeable Incidents· Ensure the accuracy of physical inventory by executing on Standard Operating process and performing bin count audits as scheduled. · As a Correctional Services Assistant I oversaw the daily operations of the facility including, inmate movement, and scheduling of recreational time and disciplinary isolation for all inmates assigned to the floor I was assigned to.· On multiple occasions I was tasked with making decisions on the fly and taking/making multiple phone calls when there was a medical emergency.· Within the first 12 months on the department, I was assigned the role of Field Training Officer (FTO) where I would train new employees, who had just graduated from the academy, in their new detail and set them up with the tools necessary to be successful.

This included scheduling deliveries, restocking the inventory, scheduling employees, maintaining accurate safe logs, and making the stores cash deposits daily.· I would teach free classes/ demonstrations every Saturday morning for our customers. This would include everything from basic shop safety, setting up your workshop tools, fine woodworking techniques, restoring old tools and everything in between.
