I pick up cars from auto dealers for the Tuesday auction at Brasher's. Cars are driven through the auction, and then delivered afterwards to the new owners. I need to be able to park cars in correct spots and drive safely and courteously. It is actually a pretty fun job.On Tuesdays (auction day) I am in charge of watching four of twelve lanes that lead up to the auction. I have to try to keep the cars in order and in the proper pattern of entry into two auction bays. I provide additional gas or a jump to cars that have 'quit', radio for info on cars people have questions about, and radio for a push truck if I can't get a car going again. I also radio for assistance if a key gets locked in a car before entering the auction, advise the foremen of each of the four lanes when their supply of cars going into the auction is about to run out, etc. I also have to remain courteous to the customers, coworkers, and superiors even under sometimes high stress levels.

I rented my townhome out and periodically assist with various repairs and maintenance there. Also I am required to communicate adequately with my tenants.

I mow and trim two lawns in the summers... I also do some weeding, pruning, clearing of dead plants, raking of leaves, re-seeding of (or grass transplants to) dead portions of the lawn, etc. It is pretty fun as long as it isn't too hot!

In this job I did market research for potential new engineering projects. This company sells its own less-expensive, FAA-approved version of expensive OEM airplane parts. So after researching aircraft applications along with usage and price data from the airlines, we would make a market projection of whether a certain part number was a good potential candidate. We used MS Access and Excel alot.

Answered student questions during Introductory Geology lab and also graded assignments.

Various painting projects in BYU housing. Responsibilities included preparation, spray painting and/or rolling paint, metal doorframe repair, etc.
