I've got a little more than 16 years in telephone customer service alone, working with the companies First Data Corp. (a.k.a. GovOne Solutions for 7.5 years) and Staples (f.k.a. Corporate Express for 9 years). This not only involved answering the calls of people who were voicing their grievances, but tracking orders to and from vendors as well as manufacturers and fabrication companies. These jobs also required issuing R.M.A.'s & processing the returns, but also processing debit & credit memos, generating work orders, as well as purchase & change orders.I've got an abundance of cash handling experience and retail sales. When I entered the workforce at the age of 14 (mowing lawns, taking care of neighbors yards, babysitting, etc.), it was at that moment I realized I was really good at dealing with people. In fact, from my first real job at 15, every single job I'd hold from then on, had some form of customer contact.Most recently, I've been a bus driver for a local private school, but in a show of someone who's diverse, in the late 90's I even had about a year of forklift & warehouse experience. Prior to that, I by means of a temporary/job agency, I was a check processor for Colorado National Bank and a bit later in life, an alarm handler for A.D.T. from 7-P.M. to 4-A.M. & what a life 3rd shift is!I'm a big fan of being a real team player as I was not only a lead at First Data, but I was eventually promoted to the 3rd shift supervisor. Those positions, before transferring to their Security Compliance department. I was part of the team who did background checks, finger printing as well as new-hire orientation.So, I didn't put this in a chronological order for a reason - - I wanted to share just some of my work experiences by order of importance. From my first two jobs as a dishwasher for Doc Martin's Taos Inn to "spinning pizzas" at The Big Cheese Pizza, both in Taos, NM, to being an assistance manager in 3 different companies here in Denver, CO and then on to my work on the phones with the two companies I'd named earlier.You see, in many cases, not all of one's career can necessarily be described on a one page résumé. So I wanted to provide a potential employer a glimpse into my professional background, to let them know, that although I've no college, I do have a well-rounded background that they might otherwise never know about.
