Highlights include: • Planned and executed many complicated tests on highly instrumented gas turbines using FM telemetry, capacitance probes, thermal paints, IR sensors, and engines configured with hundreds of channels of temperature, pressure, flow and vibration measurements. • Responsible for the build and commissioning of two engine test cells of 6,000 and 20,000 horsepower capacity. • Worked extensively on developing and executing a comprehensive test program in support of a three-year, $30MM DOE funded Ceramic Stationary Gas Turbine (CSGT) program. Developed thermal shock rigs, spin test rigs, and ran the first engine tests at Solar using advanced ceramic turbine blades, combustors and nozzles.
