I am currently in my last year of the Loma Linda CRNA program. I am set to graduate in March of 2020 and am looking forward to providing excellent anesthesia care as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.

Worked for a semester as an ICU Clinical Instructor. Provided on site teaching in theory, ICU nursing skills, pathophysiology, mechanical ventilation, vasopressors, invasive lines, hemodyamics, electrolyte and fluid management, etc... Other duties included care plan review and process paper grading.

Currently, I have 167 direct reports including RN's, nurse assistants, clerical staff, and educators. I manage a 37 bed Med/Surg unit as well as a 27 bed Med/Surg/Pediatric/Post-Partum overflow unit. My responsibilities include patient rounding/customer service, staff rounding, daily staffing, productivity management, equipment management, staff evaluations/check-ins, creating and presenting weekly & quarterly meetings, staff communication, coaching & counseling, and moving forward unit and hospital wide initiatives. I currently participate in the oncology council, sepsis council, and am co-chair for our clinical practice council. In addition, I also participate in the Surviving Sepsis Campaign collaborative and am the hospital C. Diff and VTE Champion for the inpatient units.

Reviewed and contributed to policy and procedure guidelines .Reviewed and redesigned all nursing care documentation and forms to maintain regulatory compliance as well as improve workflow and detail of documentationRebalanced staffing duties, controlled cost factors through elimination of an un-needed job role.
