Purple Chimney Investments is a real estate investment and development company based in Austin, Texas. My responsibilities include identifying target properties, negotiating purchase, development, and sale agreements, and overseeing asset performance and all of the company’s legal, accounting, and business matters. PCI has achieved an average ROI of over 30% per project.

I oversaw the restructuring and consolidation of three lending support groups into a single loan department and helped design the new department's workflow processes, technology, and staffing. I also revamped the bank's approach to collecting loan data and storing loan files.

As CRA Officer, I was responsible for collecting and reporting loan and social impact data to management, the board of directors, auditors, and regulators. I also managed Carver’s response to the OCC’s 2016 CRA exam (on which the bank received a rating of “Outstanding”, the highest rating).

As a mid-level real estate associate I managed various real estate transactions from inception to closing. My responsibilities and accomplishments included:• Negotiating and drafting agreements and documents for loans (including mortgage,mezzanine, and portfolio loans for both lenders and borrowers), purchases, joint ventures, and other complex transactions • Advising clients on all aspects of million- and billion-dollar real estate transactions and successfully closing transactions collectively worth hundreds of millions of dollars• Supervising teams of associates and paralegals through various transactions, including the purchase of a Manhattan high-rise, the formation of a JV to develop a luxury resort in Mexico, and a $1.5 billion public/private development in downtown Baltimore

I joined Cleary as a litigator before transferring to the real estate group in 2013. Below are my key duties and achievements from this time:• Successfully negotiating and closing billions of dollars of real estate transactions, including leases, property purchases, loans, and securitizations• Advising a casino gaming consortium in its bid (a proposed $2.5 billion casino project)in response to a Request for Application issued by the NYS Gaming Commission• Advising clients and managing teams of lawyers and paralegals through high-stakeslitigations and real estate transactions• Drafting court filings in connection with lawsuits, arbitrations, and governmentinvestigations, including death penalty, asylum, and securities fraud matters• Negotiating and settling dozens of creditor claims in an international bankruptcyproceeding
