About Bryan Ferris
I'm a former marine Ground Support Equipment mechanic now working as a DOT Courier for FedEx. While in the Marines I reached the rank of E-4/CPL before separating. As a GSE mechanic I preformed preventative maintenance on hydraulic equipment including scheduled maintenance as well as repair and replace. I started with FedEx in 2016 and was almost immediately put into being a dangerous goods specialist. I knew nothing about shipping hazardous materials let alone auditing them and creating manifests. I was given a week of training on how to audit packages with the IATA as well as how to create manifests. Within a year I quickly took the reigns of the DG operation at my station. I helped test FedEx's Dangerous Goods Modernization Project which has been fully implemented. I also helped with the creating of a new guide that's used FedEx wide. I have a very strong work ethic and overall want to wake up looking forward to going to work.
