• Reporting directly to the CEO and having responsibility for all human resources department activities and operations including: recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employer and employee relations, personnel records, risk management, worker's compensation, employee/organization development, diversity, affirmative action, benefits, and ADA, EEOC, FMLA, DOL compliance• Development and implementation of Human Resources Dept goals, objectives, policies and procedures; establishes priorities for all services • Establishes service and staffing levels to meet the needs of the Company; monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of procedures and allocates resources accordingly• Assesses and monitors work load, administrative and support systems, and internal reporting relationships; identifies opportunities for improvement; suggest, directs and implements changes• Work with management to help; train, motivate, and evaluate departmental personnel; provide and coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies, implement discipline and termination procedures • Explains, justifies, and obtains support for departmental programs, policies, procedures, and activities; negotiates and resolves potentially sensitive and controversial issues • Coordinates investigations of violations of Company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures and recommends appropriate disciplinary actions; aids the pre-termination decisions• Provides staff assistance to the CEO, COO and Company President; participates on boards and committees • Serves as representative to the DOL; defending Companies principles and concepts and revision of rules as necessary• Attends and participates in professional group meetings; stays abreast of new trends, laws, regulations and innovations in the field of human resource management • Responds to and resolves difficult and sensitive employee inquiries and complaints
