Software development pertaining to machine learning, feature extraction, object detection, and gesture recognition with the ultimate aim of integrating the software with vehicles. The research conducted is subsidized by an automotive company that compiles equipment and parts into functioning modules (tier 2 automotive supplier). The hardware used to capture data, and for which the feature extraction/gesture recognition is intended includes mmWave radars and cameras. The hardware largely required Ubuntu Linux (or any Debian based OS) due to the developmental tools in ROS such as Rviz and the catkin build system. Languages used in development consisted primarily of C++ and Python for algorithm development, as well as MatLab for data visualization.

Full Stack Developer

Windsor, Ontario, Canada

I completed work pertaining to API integrations with Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and hours of service (HOS). Extracted data from remote APIs and deduced useful information to provide real time asset tracking of drivers and shipments, and posted the results to a database that was accessible to end users via a website. Python was used to develop the necessary algorithms.I configured a multi-hosting webserver with Nginx to serve upstream content from Pyramid, a WSGI Framework, which I connected to a MariaDB database that I built. Using Pyramid and MariaDB, I developed a login based system with authentication and authorization to present different users different content with varying permission levels. To control the information that users saw, I used Jinja2 templating, while I developed a responsive UI through CSS and JavaScript. Using cron and Certbot/Let's encrypt, I automated free TLS encryption and its renewal. Additionally, I used Supervisord for process daemonization and automation. PuTTY was used to access secure FreeBSD shells. This web application functioned as an information and order portal where customers could read installation documentation and order available products.Created an interactive web-application with OpenLayers to allow fleet managers to engage with data pertaining to their drivers and trucking routes, manage their logistics. Built on principles of REST, and AJAX, the map automatically updated and showed live tracking data, direction of travel, street name, and more. Several of such features were isolated microservices developed and integrated using networked VMs.
