As a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner at Kootenai Health, I provide patient-centered care to critically ill and injured patients in the ICU. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Acute Care from Boise State University. In my 16-year nursing career I have worked in various roles, departments, and facilities. In addition to my bedside nursing experience, I have also worked in a variety of healthcare leadership and administrative roles including Regional Clinical Director of Critical Care and Respiratory Therapy in MultiCare Health System, Director of Nursing at Valley Hospital, house supervisor, and SWAT nurse. My professional experience and educational development have empowered me with exemplary skills in acute and critical care medicine, leadership, administration, communication, and collaboration. Whether working in practice or administration, I am passionate about building and implementing care environments that support health care providers in our endeavors to improve patient care and health outcomes. I also desire to use my hybrid care and administration skill set to advance the field of nursing through education, research, and advocacy.
