I work as a Systems Designer in the company's Portal team, working on a suite of web applications for managing orthopedic surgeries. As a Systems Designer, I contribute to defining the applications' functional requirements, as well as writing and executing tests to validate that each of these requirements are implemented as they are defined.

I worked on network service orchestration, which means automating the deployment of highly complex network functions in the 4G/LTE and 5G core networks. I was also responsible for service assurance for Bell's prototype 5G standalone core network, which means I was in charge of collecting, parsing, and displaying important data generated by these network functions so that the network engineers could monitor the status of the network in real time.

As a Software Developer, I worked on a series of cutting-edge network switches making use of Software Defined Networking. I implemented a variety of new features from scratch, both on the client-side written in C to the packet processing engine written in Assembly language. Additionally, I participated in code reviews with the rest of my team and provided support for our customers.

I worked in the Software Security group of Broadcom's Broadband & Communications Group, working on supporting digital rights management technologies in television set-top boxes and developing embedded software on a secure processor to create a trusted execution environment where high-bandwidth content can be securely decrypted.

I worked as a research assistant as part of McGill Engineering's "Summer Undergraduate Research in Engineering" program. I worked with a professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering on a system to detect code execution errors in embedded systems. Specifically, I developed a data structure that can contain a hash of previously executed code (called a fingerprint) until it can be checked against another fingerprint from a redundant CPU running the exact same set of instructions. If the two fingerprints were not identical, we could safely conclude that an error had occurred at run-time.The hardware description of the data structure was written in Verilog. Additionally, I wrote drivers in C to access the structure's control registers.

I worked for a summer at McGill's Social Equity and Diversity Education Office as an events assistant, helping with the organization of the third annual Indigenous Awareness Week.
