With the wealth of information produced, retained, and cataloged by organizations today, there is an ever present opportunity to make data-driven decisions in order to affect positive change. It starts with great data quality and integrity, a centralized and available data warehouse, accurately mastered data, efficient data modeling, and actionable dashboards put in the hands of those that need them. This is the approach that I evangelize with my teams. We take pride in our work and the results speak for themselves.

Senior Reporting AnalystAmn Healthcare Jun 2016 - Jan 2019Dallas, Tx, UsBeing an analyst in AMN's Sales/Ops department is less like "Can I get a report that does..." and more like "I wonder if we tried to move our business to do..." and then going and executing on that question. For example, AMN didn't need another report to say how many orders were open or who was on assignment, we needed something that derived actual intelligence from those reports. So, I started building two scoring models to objectively gauge our traveling nurse pipeline and our open order demand. This led us to building a test match algorithm pairing those travelers to orders. Finally, that led us to build a way for us to predict which orders we would fill and which ones needed third party assistance. It's that kind of progressive thinking and strategy that makes working in Sales/Ops so interesting. We also get to do the normal reporting stuff as well, with as much flair as we can muster. We needed a way to pull down our companies texts without employing an entire FTE to dump reports into excel. So we built a great api that did it for us through python and connected it to QlikView and, voila, automated reporting on our texting activity. We use logistic regressions in R to predict whether or not we'll fill an order. We use QlikView to create interactive dashboards for both internal and external clients. Oh, and we produce excel reports for those old school team members who just really like pivot tables. -
