In addition, I have served a number of institutions in the public and social sector, and I lead our client service to state and local governments in the Southeastern United States. I am an author of Power to the Middle: Why Managers Hold the Keys to the Future of Work. This book, published by Harvard Business Review Press, demonstrates how empowered middle managers can be the drivers and engine of organizational success and provides a path forward for companies to invest in their midlevel leaders.Throughout my McKinsey career, I have followed my passion for improving the "human" capital of the United States through my research and client service: from boosting outcomes in K-12 public education --- to creating new job opportunities --- to improving skills and the day-to-day experience "on the job."
