I am an editor at Cell Press for Molecular Cell and the Trends review journals, where I help to evaluate and publish both primary research articles and review articles. I have a strong background and interest in molecular biology and biochemistry research. I was previously a postdoctoral fellow in Chuan He's lab at the University of Chicago, where I studied the role of mRNA modifications in cancer. I earned my PhD in Biophysics from Harvard University, where I studied chromatin remodeling enzymes and other molecular motor proteins using single molecule fluorescence techniques in the lab of Xiaowei Zhuang. As an undergraduate at UCLA, I worked in the structural biology lab of James Bowie, using x-ray crystallography to study protein structure and function.
