Using Prince2 techniques, providing technical, project and process expertise in support of the design, development and delivery of Aircraft Ground Equipment for the Eurofighter Typhoon Aircraft. This was both mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment containing software. The role involved:Conducting requirements capture and analysis to write clear, unambiguous functional and software specifications, product safety management plans and statements of work.Evaluation of tender proposals to enable Supplier selection through contract negotiations. Working with the Supplier to ensure the design met the specification, and that it was suitably tested with regard to environmental qualification (MIL-STD-810F or equivalent Def Stans).Working closely with procurement, commercial, project management, business management, governance, developers, ILS and safety teams to enable a complete E2E harmonised approach.Using excellent interpersonal skills, working closely with the chosen Supplier and End User to achieve the optimum design solution, whilst being mindful of all EU safety directives. Responsible for providing technical and project direction to the formulation of a Software Support Team for Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft in-service. This involved:Conducting Logistic Support Analysis tasks applicable to Software using DEF STAN 00-60.Identifying stakeholders, creation and maintenance of relationships across all levels.Chairing requirements gathering workshops to capture and document requirements. Providing a structured approach to identifying and mapping business processes and procedures.Liaison with developers to conduct Feasibility Studies and Impact Analysis to assess options. Presenting findings to all levels through presentations and clearly articulated reports.Project Management techniques using Prince2 methodology, including MS Project plans, and the creation, maintenance and control of PID's, Business Cases, Risk and Issues logs.Assessment of options to reduce WLC, and keep within an agreed through life budget of £300m.Creation of E2E change process conforming to current Military Aviation Engineering (JAP 100A-01) and Defence Standards, whilst also being mindful of MAOS and DAOS regulations.

Worked with the Typhoon IPT and BAE Systems to successfully generate the policy, processes and procedures to be adopted by the RAF to capture requirements for Software Change on Typhoon.Capturing, Eliciting, Analysing, Specifying and Managing Customer Requirements, using a range of toolsets, including DOORS, MS Project, Change Management and SW Config. Management.Running requirements capture workshops and meetings to elicit new or changing requirements.In consultation with the Customer and Developers, generation of new design of the Typhoon Cockpit MMI, specifying requirements in Concept and Functional Requirements documents.Partitioning of software into system/subsystem requirements, using UML where appropriate. Performed Systems Integration planning, preparation and testing of the Typhoon Avionics System to provide certification, qualification and verification evidence. Acted as technical focus for the associated rig facilities, aircraft equipment, Rig Support Equipment, STTE and simulations. Provided Ground Test Plan inputs, meeting the requirements of the relevant sub systems and systems design authority. Produced Ground Test procedures to test relevant functionality as defined by the Ground Test Plan. Perform Systems Integration testing / results analysis of Typhoon Avionics System Packages.
