•Evaluate toxicity data found in literature and websites in order to classify chemicals and mixturesbased on the UN Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS).•Evaluate data inputs and validate data outputs for SAP® rules related to hazard classification, SDSand labels. Perform troubleshooting of SAP® rule outputs and coordinate resolution with SAP®systems architect.o Understands the proper format for data entry to insure SAP® rules correctly evaluate thedata and output accurate results.o Familiar with rule mapping tables, rule logs, inheritance/group usage, SAP® custom rules,SERC updates• Evaluate customer queries and complaints concerning the accuracy of hazard classification offinished goods. Investigate the causes and take actions necessary to correct internal issues oreducate the customer on the regulatory basis of the classification.• Serve as a back-up for Dangerous Goods classification.• Manage the plant raw material safety data sheet database and provide training across regions onuploading and maintenance.• Owner of the product stewardship management of change process.o Reevaluated the existing process and updated it to meet new expectations.• Serve as a subject matter expert for Hazard Communication regulations (OSHA HazCom 2012,WHMIS 2015, EU CLP, etc.)• Point of contact for Ashland’s SDS Maker Program.
