My primary responsibilities relate to the prosecution of over three hundred applications (and counting) at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office from clients of all sizes (i.e., from Fortune 500 size companies to startup companies and individual inventors) and an array of technologies. I have a wealth of experience in drafting new patent applications, preparing opinions (e.g., infringement analysis, invalidity opinions, and freedom-to-operate searches and opinions), and handling patent application appeals before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) including conducting oral arguments.

Moored Training Ship Conversion - Lead Auxiliary EngineerI was responsible to coordinate the Naval Sea Systems Command technical review of specifications, system descriptions, and diagrams for all MTS air, ventilation, steam, and shafting systems to provide government approval/disapproval. My responsibilities also included management of a multi-organizational team with over thirty engineers from five organizations to design a cofferdam.I was selected for several honors/awards during my time with NSWCCD including: (i) selection for an elite submarine safety project headed by SES members after nomination by my division director; (ii) acceptance and attendance at the prestigious summer MIT Submarine Concept Design course in Boston, MA; and (iii) “NAVSEA Excellence Award” recipient after nomination from my supervisor for superior performance.
