About Bryan J. Hansen, Ph.D.
Throughout my life, I have been fascinated with how the brain mediates higher cognitive function. I am particularly interested in understanding how population activity between neurons and local networks leads to changes in information processing and behavior. My graduate and post-doctoral research aimed to decipher the principles behind population coding in visual cortical circuits, with a strong emphasis on how population codes are modified by sensory experience and how population coding influences behavior. I am now the Director of Data Science and Digital Health-Neuroscience at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson. My responsibilities include leading the digital health strategy for the neurodegeneration portfolio. My goals are to identify clinically meaningful digital biomarkers from biosensors, smartphones, and different types of active and passive data streams to obtain more objective, more continuous about patients and their disease state. There are limitless possibilities to impact the field of neuroscience when you combine digital health technologies with sophisticated data science approaches. Always to improve the lives of patients, caregivers, and their families.
Listed skills include Research, Matlab, Experimental Design, Molecular Biology, and 10 others.

Neuroscientist, Postdoctoral Research Associate
Decades of research in primates has pointed to improved signal-to-noise ratios when attention is directed to a stimulus. Unfortunately, the mechanisms that generate these changes remain unknown and the tools presently available for use in primates do not provide a means of modulating the activity of neuronal types thought to be involved. In contrast, the.
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Examining complex functions, such as vision, hearing, memory, attention, decision making, or sleep, have been traditionally performed by studying the brains of animals in a laboratory environment in which the head and body are restrained while synthetic stimuli are presented on a computer monitor. However, it has become increasingly understood that.
