Mr. Lancon has been involved in the field of NDT and quality for over 30 years. His background includes over 15 years as a practicing NDT technician with experience in aviation, manufacturing, petrol-chemical and fabrication. Mr. Lancon holds American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) certification as a Professional Level III, and is certified as an ASNT Level III in radiography, ultrasonics, eddy-current, magnetic particle, penetrant and visual testing. In addition to the ASNT certification Mr. Lancon holds certification as an American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI). Additionally, Mr. Lancon is a FAA licensed multi-engine commercial pilot with over 2,000 hours in various general aviation aircraft and is a FAA A&P (airframe and power-plant mechanic). He has held BINDT membership, and Certified Technical Professional (CTP)certification from Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering (ATMAE).In June 2006 Mr. Lancon was appointed as Vice-chairman for the South Texas Section of ASNT. He has authored “Terminology for NDT” published in the May 2006 edition of AMT and “Verification of Indications” published by ASNT in 2008 Fall Conference summary, and "NDT Gets Better"​ published by Quality Magazine. Two additional articles were published; in the NDT Technician, "Circumferential Scanning in Ultrasonic Testing"​ and later in Materials Evaluation "NDT Training" were both published in 2012.
