Bryan Larison has been the leading the Lions Meadows of Hope since 2001. Formerly known as the Oklahoma Lions Boys Ranch, Bryan helped lead the transition in 2015 from a group home that served only adolescent boys to a foster care agency that serves children of all ages. Prior to this, he worked at a community mental health agency as a homebased therapist from 1995 to 2001.Bryan grew up in Bartlesville, OK and attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK where he earned a bachelor’s in Psychology and a master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Studies with an emphasis on Community Counseling. He became a licensed professional counselor in 2001. Bryan’s clinical focus has centered around the impact of trauma on interpersonal neurobiology. To this end, Bryan has completed a Certificate in Narrative Focused Trauma Care Level II at the Allender Center in Seattle, WA. Bryan is a member of Leadership Oklahoma Class 34. Bryan has served his community since 2002 through his membership in the Lions Club, with 1.4 million members world-wide, it is the largest service organization in the world. Bryan has served as a board member, zone chair, and was chosen as his district’s Lion of the Year in 2009. Bryan spoke to a crowd of over 15,000 at the Lions Club International Convention in Hawaii in 2015 about the impact that Lions Meadows of Hope is having on foster care in Oklahoma.Bryan has three daughters, Keely, Hanna and Adrian and currently resides in Stillwater with his wife Angie.
