Re-Branding of an unused event venue to create strong positive cash-flowIn 2011 Bryan Le Mar became aware of an event venue in Downtown Miami that was suffering from a lack of business. He saw the potential that the property offered, so he brought in a business plan concept and a re-branding strategy to utilize the space three nights a week as a night life destination. Within 4 months the revenues went from next to nothing to a very healthy projected gross revenue of over 1 million dollars per year. The approach that he used was a combination of specific music and artistic ambiance combined with unique promotion concepts and a commitment to the experience of the customer.

Miami Design District

Power Studios Miami was a Premier Dining and Nightlife Live Music Venue with 5 Live Performance Stages. There was also a fully outfitted Recording Studio that was tied into 3 of the live performance stages. Bryan Le Mar was the Staff Producer overseeing the recording of live performances from the stages to the studio, as well as overseeing any commercial use of the studio in regards to talent development and studio production. In addition to the Recording Producer/Engineer position Bryan managed the live stage sound and lights on a day to day basis. Responsibilities included hiring and training audio staff as well as hands on sound reinforcement engineering.

Responsibilities included preparing musicians for Live On Air Radio and TV Appearances, as well as Major Live Concert Appearances. Performing on shows in all major radio and television networks around the globe ... VH-1, MTV, Jay Leno, Good Morning America, Jools Holland, TFI Friday, etc ... As well as concert performances in major 500 to 60,000 seat venus world wide.

The rental inventory of Merlin Studio Equipment Rentals included very unique and sought after recording equipment such as vintage Neve and API microphone preamps and compressors, and Neumann microphones. In addition to recording studio equipment Merlin also had a collection of desirable guitar equipment such as Marshall and Vox amplifiers, vintage effects pedals and Bradshaw switching equipment. Merlins clientele included Aerosmith, The Allman Brothers, Madonna, Cameo, Foreigner, T-Bone Wolk, Estefan Enterprises, Collective Soul, Matchbox 20, Steve Vai, Disney Productions, Anthrax, Eddie Kramer, and many more.

In the late 90‘s “Criteria Studios” had already collected a rich history as the birthplace of over 300 Gold and Platinum Recordings. With legendary recordings such as James Brown (I got you/I feel good), The Eagles (Hotel California), Eric Clapton (Layla), Criteria was a highly desired landmark in the recording industry fulfilling the needs of incredible artists such as The Bee Gees, David Bowie, Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac, Mariah Carey, Lenny Kravitz, R Kelly, Dr Dre, and countless others.Bryan Le Mar was a frequent session guitarist at Criteria who also owned a vintage recording equipment rental service, so it was very logical for Bryan to set up a partnership and make use of Criteria’s vacant Studio D. He outfitted the room with a one of a kind vintage API console, which was perfect for tracking and overbubs. It worked out great, and the room saw business from a number of clients ranging from Julio Iglesias to Marylyn Manson. At the end of a smooth partnership (and more great history) Criteria opted to outfit the Studio D with an SSL console to satisfy the growing needs for a Mix Room.
