With a turnover of $1.8BN and annual profit of $185m. Working as the assistant accountant, I currently report directly to the Financial Controller who reports to the Finance Executive Director. Responsibilities • Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register for over 700 sites & cost centres worth over $260 million.• Processing the monthly depreciation, additions, and retirement journals.• Maintaining the Fixed Asset clearing account for any new capital expenditure.• Ensuring that information is accurately collated & entered in the system.• Balance Sheet and P&L reconciliations.• General month end journals including motor vehicle allocations & insurance.• Communicating effectively with the commercial & management accounting team and responding to any queries. • General ledger entry including accruals and prepayments.• Preparing monthly reports for Group.• Assisting the Finance Manager in preparing the annual statutory accounts.• Assisting internal & external auditors with queries.• Assisting in the preparation of year end accounts for auditors & clients. • Leading the new key financial components for fixed assets set by UK Group.• Providing support for the Fleet Manager for Motor Vehicles.• International intercompany invoicing & recharge for the UK and NZ.• Amortization & allocation of franchise fees.• Company credit card reconciliation.• Site purchase card reconciliation.• Short term loan deposit.• General Admin work. • General Ad-hoc requests.• Assisting in process improvement & development of financial systems.
