Avaya Networking was acquired by Extreme Networks in July, 2017. After wrapping up post-merger activities, I was asked to join the newly created Sales Enablement Team. Stepped into newly created role reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer. Prime objectives were to drive new standards based technologies into our existing markets, open avenues into new markets and drive top-line revenues with a dedicated “Network-focused” Sales team. National

Reporting directly to SVP of Tier II Carriers, I was responsible to become a “Thought Leader” with the Leadership teams of key customers like; Sprint, Qwest, Century Tel, Level(3) and Time Warner Telecom. To drive this, I worked closely with our CMO to enhance our market and customer data. We hosted “Study Groups” with business decision makers to discuss.

Focusing on Major Wireline customers and primarily Qwest. I have taken on the role of developing new, non-traditional business.

North America

Built a team of Pre-Sales Systems Engineers to position and sell New 802.17 (RPR) network solutions. Once team was up and running, I was asked to manage our OEM partner business at Scientific Atlanta. Established Scientific Atlanta as a competitior to Cisco gaining key marketshare with wins at Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Cox and Adelphia.

Western US

Lannet- Responsibility for all things technical for Western US Channel before Lucent acquisition of LannetLucent- Dedicated SE on Sales team. 305% in 1998 and 258% in1999. President’s Club both years. SME for emerging 802.11 standard. Assisted in OEM sales to Apple, HP, IBM and Compaq.

Starting as the Chief Architect for the WAN network, I was later promoted to direct overall Strategy and Systems Architecture.
