-Manage the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) VMware virtual environment – 68 VMware ESXi hosts; 12 Hyper-V hosts – spread across two separate datacenters and five regional locations. VMware ESXi 5.5.0, Windows 2012 R2 w/Hyper-V, also with vCenter Server Appliance, vSphere Data Protection appliance, vCenter Operations Manager, and vCenter Update Manager.-Coordinated redundant SAN storage and ESXi site relocation from DC to Gaithersburg, MD. Redundant hosts at alternate computing facility ran VMs while equipment was moved, racked, and reconnected. Site redundancy was restored in 12 hours.-Currently designing ESXi upgrade from 5.5 to 6.5, along with ESXi/HP/CiscoUCS hardening. Designed and configured new Windows Server 2012 Active Directory Forrest at a datacenter “CoLo” for which our current domain resources will be migrated to.
